1. An
applicant for membership in the AAHHP must be a graduate of
a College of Podiatric Medicine, recognized at the time of
matriculation or graduation by the council on Podiatric
Medical Education of the American Podiatric Medical
Association and legally licensed to practice podiatry.
2. The
applicant must be a member in good standing in the American
Podiatric Medical Association.
3. The
applicant must be worthy in personel character and
professional ethics as set forth in the Code of Ethics of
American Podiatric Medical Association.
4. The
applicant must be officially affliated with the licensed
hospital or oyher health care institution in order to be
eligible for full

1.
Applications shall be submitted to the Executive Director of
the AAHHP on the official AAHHP membership form.
2.
Application must be endorsed by at least two(2) members of
the APMA.
3.
Application shall be verified as to the type of institution
the applicant claims as a bonafide affiliation by the
membership chairman who will then present them to the Board
of Directors for Approval.
4. Fees
for application for membership or examination shall be
determined by the Board of

The
members of this organization shall be classified as :
1.
Fellow : conferred upon members who have successfully
completed the following:
a.
Provide documentation of active podiatric in-hospital
privileges or membership in health care institution or
organization for three(3) years immediately preceding the
date of applicantion for membership.
b. An
appropriate examination prepared by the examining
Committeand approved by the Board of Directors.The time and
date of such examination shall be determined by the Board of
Directors.
All fellows
shall be permitted to use the designation F.A.A.H.P.A
certificate of membership shall be issued to all
fellows.Said certificate shall remain the property of AAHP
and must be returned to the Executive Director upon
termination of Membership,regardless of

2. Member
:
Applicants
shall be accepted as members by a majority vote of the Board
of Directors after completion of all membership
requirements.All members shall be permitted to use the
designation M.A.A.H.P. A certifiacte of membership shall be
issued to all members.Such certificate shall remain the
property of AAHP and must be returned to the Executive
Director upon termination of membership, regardless of

3. Life
Member :
All members in
good standing for ten(10) years or more, having attained the
age of sixty five(65) and having completely retired from
practice or for reasons of health which may force
retirement or severe curtailment of practice may be
classified as a life member with all privileges of
membership without payment of dues or assessment.Those
persons who are retired from active practice but are
gainfully empolyed in a field associated with the dispensing
of medical or podiatric services in which there is a
doctor-patient relationship may not be considered retired
for purposes of life Membership.Such status may be granted
upon application and approval by the Board of
Directors.
